There was a man whose feet were, or still are assuming he isn't dead, hardened and crusted. He was asleep on the train. He reeked. His eyes were closed, and he was smiling. I became ashamed of my shock and revulsion. I am still unsure how I feel about the scenario, but it's not good. Not good towards myself, towards him, and towards the umbrella we allegedly shelter ourselves underneath. These encounters are nothing like home, they make me miss you and Dad. I miss my corner of the shire.
